Penmeanmawr 2/5/15

Still on the quest for a bass to start the season , Stephanie wonted to come with me ,but with strong south eastlie winds and pouring down ,it was not looking good so I decided to take her penmeanmawr for a steady two hour each side of high .at least there you can shelter in your car our in the shelters there ,witch turned out to be a god send ..

Got there for low ,we soon pumped plenty blow lug for a short session and steph a dab hand with the pump now ..didn't take any pics while pumping ,was going do a video about pumping blow , but now way was I getting my new phone out in that weather lol we had a job stand up , especially steph she's tiny lol ..

We had plenty time before it went dark before high so we had plenty cups of tea and cooked Some soup ,not the best conditions for Stephanie first sea adventure , but she was loving the chilling time ..

Then my good mate logger meet me there , not seen dave since talacre in January , so it was good to have a catch up and good natter as we waited for it to go dark , the sea was flat ,but I've had bass from this mark when it calm usually just after high as the tide starts to ebb..
My shelter for the night ..



Got steph set up with a bass rod and a fixed spool ,and we just used fresh blow on pennels size 1.o s
Might look nice and calm from this pic ,but i can ensure you it was not !!

Long story short had one cracking rattle that nailed steph rod really hard ,and slack liner . One missed bite and that was the lot been really poor for me this April hope it picks up soon , had great time with dave ,and steph loved it ..of to greenfeilds tomorrow give out a better day so let's give it ago .. Got plenty fresh peeler so fingers crossed ..
