Fishing With 'The Maestro'

Subject: Fishing With 'The Maestro' Sat Mar 21, 2009 10:29 pm

Tide - High
Time - Day/Night
Bait: Fresh Lug
Date: 21st March 2009

The Maestro and I fished up to high infornt of the Hydro. His freshly dug Lug was used on both of my 3 hook flappers.

Conditions were great. The wind was in our faces and a nice little surf was mixing things up nicely.
Weed was a minor problem, with occasional clumps sending our rigs Eastwards.

Mehmet had been fishing all day when I joined him. With no fish reported, my confidence was given a boost with talk of a few good knocks.

As dusk approached I had a right good twitch!
I left it to develop, but it never did.
On retrieval, a small Flounder emerged.

The worm on the lower hook had been stripped down the hook and was just hanging in there. Maybe the knock was a from our silver friends after all?

Another Flounder made tonight a reasonable session.
Happy with my 2 fish, I left The Maestro to break his blank in private.
