I passed the point early this afternoon, with the tide just starting to lap around the bottom of the boulders and not an angler in sight.
The rain was light but persistant but i thought what the hell and headed home to pack my waterproofs and my gear but got held up for half an hour by the boss.
By the time i got to the point, there were about a dozen rods out!
Fortunately i managed to push in on Parrys corner between Alan and the Maestro.
All was quiet until the tide turned, then it was at least a fish a chuck to me. Only small Dabs and Whiting, but much to Mehmets frustration as him and Al had been out since early this morning with very little to show for their efforts.
Al was next in with a nice Codling of 1.25Kgs!!! Mehmet was all ready to pack up and go home at this, but a couple of small Dabs kept him in the game.
Fishing was steady for the 3 of us with small Dabs and Whiting until it went dark.
I managed 10 Dabs and a couple of pins.
Mehmet gave up on his freshly dug worm and came and begged some of my sticky frozens to take his Dab tally up to about half a dozen and Alan was happy with his Codling and a few Whiting and Dabs.
I didnt see any other fish caught, but heard of a couple of small flatties from under the old flashy light.
All in all, a nice little sesh, and the rain even stopped for a while too!
Mehmet and Alan are back after tea to fish low, with the Maestro vowing to ditch the fresh and break out his stash of frozen for tonights tide.
Happy Days!!!
