Decided to try the mersey to get out the winds yesterday. me degs and wayne set of early (to early infact as we had to wait for the beach to uncover). the venue we chose was town hall steps over low.
lovely sunny morning and the town hall in all its glory.
we set up in the middle of the beach.
all manner of baits were tried crab lug blow lug squid and razor combinations. me and wayne had a few small codling (proper small aswell).
we give it 3 hours down and then decided to move to cod corner. as we tackled down degs wound in and had a bull head on to save his blank.
then it was a quick trip to cod corner. which fished about the same with a few y/ting and small codling again. there was a few fishing all along and one bloke was the only one with 2 takers of about 2lb.
