I'm going down with a cold and struggling breath was keeping me awake so I got up early this morning and went out for fresh air.
Checked out a deserted Colwyn bay at 5am, at the Arches the building tide was spraying over more than I cared for, so I opted for fishing out of the car tucked in by the pier instead.
My third cast coughed up a micro whiting.
6am High and with the top of the tide calming down I moved to 100 yards West of The Arches.
By 7am the falling tide was getting uncomfortably sloppy again: that little whiting had been the only fisherman's friend
and I headed back to bed.
Fresh air, just what the Doctor ordered!
