Barkby beach over low

Our match at Prestatyn last night was a bit grim, low water on a big tide meant you needed to get a long way out to find any depth, and when it started flooding we were moving back every few minutes,
21 anglers fished, with only 11 finding fish in size, some of these were only a single dab or weever.
The winner found 3 dogs, a whiting and a dab , but the next 3 prizes went to single fish, 2 dogs and a codling just over a pound and a quarter. I came 6th with 2 whiting just over the 27mm minimum. There were loads of little whiting around, and crabs stripping the hooks in a few minutes.

was going to try to make the weigh in to meet you but only came off the beach late after getting some worm least you had a good clear night no rain + some fish to weigh in well done you all
