trying a new gully wind slight when i left home fishing my bass rods fresh lug arrived 4hrs before high to make sure that i was in the gully as it was only a slight gully wind was gradually increasing but still confident using 3-4oz leads

wind picked up when gully started to fill waves were about 1ft high and started to break about 20 yards out it then got even worse and the waves were breaking the leads out so i put plastic griper breakaways on with the leads this made it hold but the rods were bent double and the waves were getting bigger so i decided on a move to the foryd in rhyl it was still windy there but fished for 1hr had just one eel and a few bites but decided to call it a day about 12.45am
