Surfing Kinmel Bay!

Bait - Fresh Lug
Date - 16th May 2010

Fished low water tonight with some Fresh Lug and a clip down Pennel rig, both courtesy of Wormy.
Conditions looked good with a bit of surf on.

First cast and within seconds I'd had a good knock.
Nothing to show for it though. A split lug was left on the hook offering a tantalising glimse of what might have been.

Next cast and it was a repeat performance. A bite within seconds but no fish to show.
Several more casts and several more bites. All not connecting!

Simons mate had a proper rod bend but again, the fish were proving difficult to hook.

With the tide now pushing us back, it was time for a quick retreat.
There's always the next time!
