Me and deg's are both on night's this week. so with the wind being bad on the island we opted for a short one at mostyn.

set up 2 rod's each with all manner of baits and concoctions. 2 hook flappers and pulley rig's. an hour before slack water we were getting lot's of bites but no fish. swapped rigs for smaller hooks and still no hookups.

then eventually a fish for me. a small codling and a blank out the way.

what a relief. by now deg's is panacking he's going to blank. low water came and it died a death. all we were getting was crabs nice bright greeny yellow one's (a few more week's before they peel).

waited till 2 hour's after low before it started to run again then i had another tiny codling. by now deg's was twitching until he gets a small tap and hey presto no blank for deg's.
