Colwyn bay today

Me and Gladiator met down at Colwyn bay this afternoon. The plan was to fish the last hour down, and fish it back in. What a nice day.

I took one of my favorite all time rods, It has to be a collectors item by now.


I took my metal detector to pass the time while waiting for the tide to turn, and Glad took his fly rod for a bit of casting practice.

The highlite of the afternoon for me was when a dog had a piddle all over Glads tackle box. Sorry Glad I just had to mention it.
No fish at all, in fact not even a bite. But hey who cares, it was still nice just to get out. Thanks for your company Glad.

Anything showing on the detector?

Not on that day Mike. But the previous day by Rhyl harbour I found a musket ball, a 22 bullet, and a hand forged nail. I will be going again it was very interesting. Also on the previous day I saw 3 Snow buntings for you bird watchers. Thats a new one for me anyway. They will have flown all the way from Russia, and will be going back anytime now.
