Hi All

Fished Pensarn Sunday 28th from high to low 11am to 6pm, just left of the pipes, very slow fishing with just the odd whiting coming out, i had about six fish and my mate have four whiting a dab and a rockling.
The wind picked up around 3ish but it stayed dry which is always a bonus.
It was good to get to see the sand banks and how big the first gulley is, and now i know i was over casting and missing where i needed to be, this is duly noted.
Around ten fishermen turned up on low just at dusk and fished straight out from the main carpark, they must have inside information or a match maybe???

regards rebsie.

Thanks Rebsie, that gulley could be a good spot for in the summer Wink

Don't know of a match. There was one at Colwyn on Saturday. The winner there had 27 fish (25 whiting).

Well,at least you got out there.
This time of the year the fish have gone out to deeper water,it's like a transition period.
In a few weeks the fish start to come back in,then the mackerel followed by the predators.

Generally more productive in darkness this time of year.

Low, as the flood starts
(Take care to what's happening in the planned escape route behind you, and don't stay too long) and have a decent headtorch ofcourse) is generally my favourite time to fish 🐟
Although in winter as I've got older it isn't so easier to find the enthusiasm to go out there!
