Had an early doors trip to New Brighton this morning. I think this mark is known as Harrison Drive although the road along the front is called Kings Parade according to google.
Fishing 2.5 hours to low and 1 hour up. Frozen black, sandeel and razor. Targetting a plaice or maybe a schoolie. Three of us fishing here this morning with no bites at all between us that I was aware of. Got home before the rain though.
Kings parade has some history. This section of the prom was built during the 1930's in part as a work creation scheme during the depression, and was quite controversial at the time. I suspect the road was named after George V, although if you thought last weekend was busy with all of the royal goings on - 1936 we had three different Kings in that year as George V died, Edward VIII abdicated, then we had George VI.
