Interesting pictures. My understanding is the port structure was built to enable shipments of slate.

Can't recall ever having a fishing report from there.

you can't have been watching the forum mid to late 60s, I posted regularly from there!

I used to stay in the youth hostel which was across the main Bangor road, one weekend I was the only guest. The fishing from the Bangor side was not great, odd flounder, plaice and school bass. there were no boats on that side, and only 3 or 4 inside the port. one winter I met someone who caught codling and whiting from the right hand end of the port

I always enjoy
a wander around there but haven't fished it.

We were wandering around there a few weeks ago, it was low tide, There was a swirl on the edge of the muddy water's edge, possibly a mullet but didn't see anything fishlike further

Interesting link that thanks Rhod, a couple of weeks ago we were walking the slate trail near Beddgelert, saw a slowworm, must be over 50 years since I saw one of those.
