| not bought it this way myself but putting "lugworm" in EBAY currently lists two North Wales frozen lug suppliers supplying by post, there is a minimum order though and it is cheaper from local shops ofcourse. _________________ we call it fishing not catching!

| I bought some vacuum sealed oiled black lug online. Had it two years unopened, still looks ok. Black lug and squid are easiest to get online. You don't have to buy big amounts, just what you might need. I usually buy frozen baby squid. I keep them in the bottom drawer of the freezer. Good luck with your fishing. |

| Connahs quay is not that far from Winsford. You can almost fish out of your car. Best Idea is to watch the tide table, and fish from slack to low. 4 or 5oz lead, plenty of bling on the hooklength for the flounder and plaice. Black lug and squid and mackerel strip cocktails. The tide starts to slow the last hour of the incoming,so an hour before high is a good time to start. Do you fish the Weaver at Winsford? |

| I am not too far from you. Recently I have been trying some Wirral marks (see reports) a few hours either side of low. 40 minute drive for me. Fishing should improve there when it gets a bit colder.
I am aware of two places to get bait at the top of the wirral, if you can time with fishing around the tide time.
Bonners Bait N Tackle 114 Victoria Rd, Wallasey, CH45 2JF
The bait shack - just a shed on an allotment so far as I can make out. Not used it myself yet but will be giving them a try.

Supermarket baits (e.g. raw prawn, mackerel) should work at these venues if you are chasing rays. Use pretty big baits.
Online I have seen lots of good reports for Baits R Us but never used them myself. Need to be ordering quite a bit to get free postage. I would be allowing plenty of time between ordering and a fishing trip just to allow for any postal delay.
