Thought I would mention that Hammerite can be thinned with neat petrol.Seeing as Hammerite thinners is nearly the same price as Hammerite itself,and if personally,like me it puts you off using it,I thought this might help.
I've painted three rods with it,and it works great.(only thinned Hammerite smooth with it)
I've got an old Composite spinning rod that handles really well and it's an old favorite that I want to keep.It's light brown after sanding it down,so a nice dark green will do it a service.
I get the odd side ways look off some of the 'Tackle Tarts'when I use it,so dark green will have them fooled  lol!
