Mullet are not a fish on my catch list, they don't seem to take the usual baits. I think the method is more akin to carp floating bread fishing. I've seen some at the bridge end of the dock at Connah's quay. They are frustrating fish,I always feel like I have wasted my fishing time when I've had a go at catching them. I think the secret is in the bait that is presented to them.

| Had a scary shark fishing trip off Adelaide in the early 60's Aussie style. They took a dead sheep out for bait, threaded a cable through it and trolled it behind the boat at about 3 knots,Didn't take long, the sheep got snatched and the cable was twanging like a guitar string.Out came the Lee Enfield 303's.With a few sharks shot,it started a feeding frenzy. They started eating each other. I thought,we definately need a bigger boat |

| I've heard there are plenty of Mullet on the Wirral side of the Mersey, they are up near the Ferry ports, and the sewer outlets. I've come to the conclusion that they prefer-Pre digested food |
