Splash Point farewell Sam_0811

I had a final session at the point yesterday, I don`t think I`m going to miss it too much, three and a half hours for two little weevers Rolling Eyes

Not sure if it's easier to finish on a bang or a wimper! Sad

Fishing over the barrier by drone or remote control boat probably isn't an option,
Kite fishing doesn't seem practical either, not sure I'm paddlefit enough for buying a kayak and my boat needs a good fettle first, maybe we could pull off a variation on "The Wooden Horse" ( anyone got a few square yards of JCB Yellow canvass and some 2 by 1 spare?) but there is still Low at the Point to fish even if it means a longer walk to get there.

It does seem a shame, but if it stops the devastation of floods, then it can't really be knocked.
If you fancy a Kayak Paul, you could borrow one and have a go around the Marine lake, and see if you are up for it. lol!

Like anywhere Splash Point has its good days and bad days, the concrete platform washes over on a big high tide and the rocks could be tricky and slippy but being close to the prom ( or fished off the prom)  and parking and not far from home with about 12 foot of water at the end of the groyne made it an attractive option.

My joint PBB came from there a few years ago

I will certainly miss it!

Hopefully the flashy light will reappear somewhere else along the prom.
