Mullet are not easy to catch,it takes a lot of dedication and patience.
You will often see them cruising around,but they are finicky on taking a bait.
Once you hook one they scream off like a torpedo,and it's game on.
It would probably be worthwhile to take two rods one for the Mullet,and one for some normal sea fishing.I find Mullet fishing a bit frustrating,and never bother fishing for them.
Carp rods and fixed spool reels will do the deed for most sea fishing.
Don't forget,you need a shock leader because you will snap of easily with line of a normal strength.There's nothing like a 4oz weight flying off in any direction at 300mph.
