| Had a quick session down at Dock road Queensferry chasing the Flounder. High tide was 16.05 at the venue GD 7.7meters Fished 17:30 - 20:00 Not fished this venue properly before and unsure what affect all this rain we’ve been having recently would have. Bait was fresh lug, razor and Mac First cast with a rolling lead and a Boom Rig on fresh lug A nice Flounder at 37cm and 14oz Not a sausage after that!! Weed and holding bottom was a bit of a problem but I think the tide size was right there was just to much fresh water in the river. |

| You did well just getting out, glad you didn't blank Is that the dock at Connah's Quay? I've always fished off the dock wall. Is it possible to drive close to where you are fishing? I used Black lug and squid or Mackeral strip combos, on a running ledger, with plenty of bling. I have to choose my spots these days, because walking is a bit of a problem. According to the tide info, the incoming is slower than the outgoing. I believe if there has been a lot of rain coming down the Dee,the freshwater effects where the fish are. Although,I have caught flounders up near the blue bridge in the past. |

| We`ve got a club match there 3 weeks today. We always fish over high water, about 2 up 2 down. |

That sounds a good idea, you can take advantage of the High water slack. Do you fish off the dock wall? If I'm feeling up to it,I might have trundle down and have a look. |

If you drive past the end of the wall, you come to another large, free car park...the spot Dyl is fishing is 50 yds away....you can fish off the grass bank, though at the gate you have to climb over, there`s a concrete slipway too. https://goo.gl/maps/QaNvvpGJrYEfbGzH8 |

No , we always fish off the grass beyond the car park, it usually turns more fish up along that stretch. It can get a bit slippery after rain but you don`t have to lift your fish up the wall.

| Update-- Our club match won`t be taking place now, nor anytime soon I`m afraid. We usually start the summer league in April, but it may have to wait a few months to see how the situation develops. |

Have u logged in? Logging in always opens slightly more of the site, venues section for example. If you have logged in and some bits are not opening plese let me know exactly which and I will take a look behind the scenes, I am not aware of any changes at the moment. |
