Nothing Yet

Loads fishing for Mackerel along Old Colwyn and Llandudno but none showing yet.
Loads of whitebait around so shouldn't be far away

Thanks for the info Dave,so does that make them a lot later than usual?

I can remember catching them at Benlech on the May bank holiday for years on the trot.

If all goes to plan,I'll be out on my boat in the straits at Caernarfon on Friday with my brother,
so I'll put in a report if the Mackerel are in there.
Going to cruise the straits to the bridge and back,( not chancing the Swellies this time round)Haha.

Think it was late August before they showed in any numbers last year

I thought they were in in June last year,I remember you saying there was loads of white bait in Colwyn
later in the summer.
I could have it wrong of course.

Interesting, I cannot remember seeing any mackeral caught from Bangor pier, I spent a fair bit of time there in the 1960s. I have caught them from the rocks at Penmon.
