I was back on the bullshead yesterday for a night sess
joining me was my mate callum and cole when he
finished school.
Me and Callum got on there for around 13:30 to get
everything set up and baited up
as we was setting up another angler told us of a big
pike sat underneath his peg eating the fish he
was catching
this got me going so i quickly
set a pike rod up and caught a livebait and headed
to his peg.
He was right the pike was led there
the
moment put the livebait in front of it
Bang fish on
After a good scrap i landed and weighed it 12lb 3oz
After the pike all we could catch was skimmers , roach and perch
The carp fishing was slow but I did mange to catch one
Cole arrived around 20:00 and he started catching more skimmers and roach
Cole caught the first carp of the night a very dark common
Quickly followed by a common for Callum
And around an hour later another dark carp this time a small mirror
For the next few hours the only bite we had was from us eating bacon buttys
so we decided to get a couple of hours sleep
I was up at around 4:15 to the pond looking great at that time of
the morning
so I recast my bait's and caught a first for
me a lovely little ghost carp
We decided to pack up around 9:00ish but Cole was still catching skimmers for fun
It was a great sess between us catching 1 pike 6 carp a bream and a ton of skimmers roach and a few perch
