Perfect conditions for a mornings fishing, Monday morning, 2 to 4 ft surf calming down after a blow, offshore breeze, 5-30 high tide 6-30am first light, and a 6-15 start, and only one other fishing. March April and May would be our most productive months, but so far March had been quiet, too calm mostly.
It was all on from the go, with a few Kahawai then as the light strengthened the snapper appeared.
I lost count, but about 7 kahawai, 10 legal (27cm) snapper, plus a few undersize ones and one hook lost to a shark.

This was my best snapper at 2.19kg, and the best one between us.

It was so busy I did not need or have time to set up my second rod, 5 times there was a fish on before I put the rod in a hole.
By 9-30 there were only a few small fish nibbling so time to go home. I kept 2 kahawai and 5 snapper for Judy's friends who give her lifts when I am busy (fishing).
