I had a proper out and out carp session today on my local water now I'm not the best carp angler in the world but can get by on what I know
The plan was to fish two rods both with air rigged boilies hard on the bottom and this is how I got on
I had the place to myself
with the wildlife keeping me company
After a couple of hours one of my bait runners went screaming off
Which was this stunning common carp around 6lb
I had to wait another hour or two before my next fish and it was worth the wait a cracking 2lb+ perch
I only caught 2 fish but I was more than happy with them both till next time tight lines

Another nice read there Stevo.
The colour of your Perch reminds me of the surprise I had when Carp fishing a commercial water for the first time a few years ago, catching a Perch and not recognizing what it was given the very pale colouring and not all like the striped green camo ones I used to catch as a lad.
Just done a bit of googling to confirm that the ones in commercial waters do often look like that but for me they'll always look better in traditional "tiger stripe pattern" special forces camo.
Can't quite get my head around the idea of the bait not actually going on the hook either!

Nice one Steve ones again, a man of many fishing talents and not a bad photographer either. Looks as though you had a time.
