Subject: A night session
Sun Aug 27, 2017 11:37 am
On Friday after working all day 3 of us (and Cole) thought
it would be a good idea to go night fishing on the bullshead.
We all met around 6:00pm with more tackle between us than anything
else we spread out across 3 pegs and started baiting our swims.
The plan was to carp fish all night
I was the first to catch this lovely mirror carp just as it started to go dark
Cole soon used up all his charge on his phone (gaming it) as the fishing was slow
Surprisingly it was me who caught the second carp of the night another mirror
which ended up being my last fish of the night
Callum was next to catch
Then Ben had his first of the night
After having a couple of hours sleep Cole was ready to catch some fish so he set up
his pole to try for some small bit's
It didn't take him long to catch something (a crayfish)
As it started to get lighter he started catching a few perch and roach
Ben and Callum caught there second carp of the session
Around 2 hours before we packed up I set a pike rod up and cast a little live roach out
After around 30 mins the pike float disappeared
Since Cole hadn't caught a carp I let him bring it in but it wasn't a pike
on the other end but a 2lb perch
We packed up around 9:30am with having caught 6 carp and losing 3 and Cole catching 20+ perch & roach
