After targeting congers on Friday and ending
up with whiting and dabs I decided to try my
luck light lure fishing and would
be targeting big perch. fishing

Using my new LRF setup and small lures I decided
to fish the bullshead instead of the canal as I've
caught some nice perch in there while I've been
livebaiting for pike. fish

When I arrived at the bullshead it was overcast
and raining a little but by the time I was half way
round it was sunny sunny sunny

After the first lap round with only one follow
from a very big pike I changed lures to a little
shad type lure. Rock on

And I didn't have to wait long before this little fellow nailed
it right next to the peg  cheers  It was great fun on light tackle  cth

I'm going to stop targeting species now and be happy
with what I catch because that's what its all about. cheers Rock on

Dying to try out my new shimano rod and a nice little reel Steve, sent to HongKong for some really lifelike minnows.Might have a dabble on the medlock for the trout. They love live minnows.
I usually catch a few and keep them aerated in a bucket(minnows)then stick them on a 10's hook under a bubble float. The chub love them too.
