| Welcome to the forum, Living in Talacre I guess you don't need warning of the tide and potential for getting lost in the fog there.
It's surprising what lives in the estuary on your doorstep!
Feel free to seek advice and yeah we'd love to see reports of how you are getting on

| Thanks for the replys. Yes that's a deal .... but some tips first lol. No Paul I live in stoke on Trent and have caravan at talacre so there most weekends. Was sport mad until recently now it's family time but also need bit of me time lol. So decided to get into this. Like I say really green so been watching videos on you tube etc.... I'm looking for somewhere to go this weekend. When is the best time to fish ? High or low? |

| This time of year Talacre would be a good choice of venue, you need fish over low water so your casting into the channel and on a big tide too so you can reach the channel. The tide this weekend will perfect for there apart from you'll be in the dark at some point so I certainly wouldn't suggest going by yourself. One rod is ample plus stand, flatty rigs, 2 packs of fresh or frozen Lug and 4 to 6oz grip weights and travel as light as possible not forgetting a very good torch or headlamp or preferably both and a compass is always a good idea. Here's the tide times for Talacre And the weather (which will most likely change). If you can make it to Talacre for 3.30pm on Saturday and you don't mind a good walk across the beach I'll join you |

Looking forward to meeting you mate Don't worry about proper fishing clothes just wrap up warm and some waterproofs may be an idea Don't need waders either... unless we stay to long |
