He's only gone and done it again!

With the kids off school this week and me having
a few days left to have of work me and cole decided
to spend the day (yesterday) on the bullhead.  

Cole was still in bed and said he'd join me later (again)
so I set off on my own.  



With not fishing it for a while I was unsure on how
it was fishing and want pegs where fishing well so
I went on peg 4 which I do ok on for pike.  



I was soon catching little roach and plenty of them  



After a few hours of catching nothing but roach I was
made up with this little perch.  



The pike float was out all day without a sniff    then around 3:30pm
cole decided to turn up.    It took him ages to catch one
which is unlike him but once he caught his first 2,3,4,5,6 quickly followed  





And yep you guessed it he caught the only pike of the day as well





I wonder were he get's it from sleeping for hours then waking
up and catching the biggest fish

Well worth getting up for Steve. A bit nippy just lately but it's been pretty good fishing weather.

I had a mate who would catch in a puddle,he never failed.I think he got in touch with the fish via his line like a telephone.
I thought it was Debdale when I saw the first picture.I've dived in there and there's plenty of fish.
It's a shame it's got dodgy to fish on there,I remember when I lived in Gorton years ago,they stocked it with trout,and there was some decent chub in it.(bottom reservoir.)
Is that Bullshead pool the old Mellands pool off mount road?
Did you ever fish the jackson's claypit off the back of the school on Mount rd?
I watched them fill it in,the last bit they filled in was teeming with fish,I was surprised that
clubs in the area didn't net them and stock up.
I'm still a bit incapacitated with my foot,been going round in circles for x rays and scans since last march.Missing getting out there.

The bullhead is next to debdale/gorton top reservoir and the golf club mate and
the water off mount road is the old Levenshulme anglers which is still their but
its a free for all the last it I was on there.

If you look on google maps on debdale/gorton top reservoir kings road
is separating debdale and the bullshead is on denton golf club side.

Haha,I fished it a few times 30yrs ago,the club that had it then was Manchester corporation busses.
Little gate on the right when you went from Hyde road down the dirt road.
It fished well then,so it must have a few "Biggies" in it now I imagine.

There is some crackers in there carp and pike to 28lb
massive perch and some good bream and tench.
