Welcome mate,
How much have you examined the boat?Is it a fibreglass hull, what is the condition of the engine seatings. If you haven't lifted the old deck yet,do you know the condition of the stringers? I am taking it that it has an inboard engine.
I certainly hope it's a straightforward job,trouble is,most jobs are rarely straightforward.
If I was you,I would keep us updated on your progress, that way you will probably get some good advice off the members.
A couple of pics would be a lot of help.
Good luck with it,keep us posted. boat

Heyup Kiky's dad,
The last thing I wanted was to put the guy off.
I've renovated a couple of boats from scratch myself, once you lift the deck there is usually a bit more to it than you expect.
It's impossible to know what materials you need until you have a look.
In can't get there to give him a hand unfortunately, but I can offer him a few tips if he needs them.
I wish him the best of luck with the project,as we all do no doubt.
