Poor Greg doesn't have any luck at all at the Rock Channel
Swimming the channel, several blanks, no smoothounds and now something to add to the list.......
I got to Harrison Drive a bit later than planned, and when I parked up Greg met me with this sight !
I managed to snip the hook in half, but it was obvious that the pain was too much and this would need to be removed at A & E.
With Greg incapacitated, myself, Dave Roberts & Dave Radcliffe headed onto the bank swiftly followed by Jimmy H eager to try out his new Viper rod (after a brief u-turn to collect his bait from home
)
First cast, new rod and a whacking 11lb 11oz smut for Jimmy !!
I was also in first cast and a new PB of 9lb 10oz starry smut for me
Jimmy was then in with his second and another double figure !! this time 10lb 13oz
2nd cast, 2nd smut for me at 7lb 13oz
I could see the odd fish coming in from the 2 Daves, but they were a bit further down the bank than me and Jimmy, I could tell that Dave Rob was not having the best night though, due to his tourettes kicking in !
I managed another 2 hounds in the session one at 4lb 10 & 5lb 11 and Jimmy had a dab. I believe Dave Radcliffe had 3 hounds up to about 8lb and I think Dave Rob had 2, so that was 11 hounds from the session and a couple of crackers for Jimmy, well done mate
I hope that Greg's finger is not too sore today and that he gets out soon to bag his first hound from the Rock Channel.
