with the weather forecast being poor i was not expecting to get out with billy this week. got a phone call Wednesday night from billy saying there was a break in the weather and if i fancied a few hours out from Prestatyn on Thursday.
got to psc around 8 -00 am and one of the members i think his name was Steve launched us and we where off to the wind farms in hopes of a few mackerel on the drift. no mackerel but plenty of whiting some a good size, billy had a gurnard then i had a tub gurnard and then another for billy but it was mostly whiting. we moved to a wreck mark and had poor cod and pouting and billy had a single mackerel the biggest problem we had was
getting past the pouting so came back in to have a go at the smooth hounds. by the time we got anchored up on the rough ground it was getting a bit choppy and starting to rain but we did manage a few hounds and doggies. the plan was to try the banks for bass but the weather was getting worse so we headed in.
