Tuesday.Team building exercise -climbing Snowdon (altitude 3,650 feet)
First time I’ve been hiking in 30 years and a bit of a shock to the system.
The view at the top was er,
probably better in sunny Rhyl
On the back of the toilet doors of the new summit cafe instead of the usual graffiti there are some ecology tips; fill your kettle with only the amount of water you need, don't leave your telly on stand-by (
both of which I get)
..and use both sides of a sheet of paper (
which I'm still thinking about!)
Wednesday.Sainsbury’s for Ibroprofen Gel.
Which numpty put it on the bottom shelf ? ( altitude 4” )
Look -if I was still capable of bending I wouldn’t need the bloody stuff!
Thursday.Still can’t bend my legs, Fishiotherapy called for. Reckoned I could just about hobble the length of Llandudno Pier (Altitude 30 feet) unfortunately the nearest I could park was Little Orme.
So North Shore it was.
Fished up to High, some early excitement with a crab on a Wormy pulley pennell, followed by a bit of excitement an hour before High when the gulls started diving on something -switched to feathering sabikis. No fish but the exercise did the trick though,
Friday. Legs are working again! Up to ceiling painting, (altitude 5 steps!)
Saturday.Poor tide, good surf, 7oz to hold bottom.
Joined Maestro for Low up.
He’s been on his hols. ( catching Dorado !)
Nothing hooked except weed, placky bags and toilet paper (must be a bank holiday)
Bit of a groyne strain then but hopes remain high.
