Just a few piccies from our annual holiday on Isle of Man .....
Ferry crossing took 2.5 hours.
Pesky jetski
Fished a few easy locations so the kids can join in. Laxey outer breakwater is where we fish most.
Plenty on offer straight down from the end of the breakwater. This is the smallest fish we have caught in the IOM!
Plenty of wrasse hanging around ...
This photo is from a year ago. Hmmm ... that fish looks familiar ...
There are plenty of sharks off the Island. Ranging from the basking sharks (no fishing allowed), through tope (can be caught from the shore at north of the island), down to of course the humble dog shark
Port Erin and Port St Mary have similar venues. This is Port Erin
We had a few kayaking adventures
The kids took rods to keep them amused. We had 6 mackerel on our first attempt on feathers. 5 Coalfish on another trip on jelly worm and small redgill. Fish were 1-2 lbs size which was about the biggest the kids could manage on the light tackle.
I had a gurnard on a redgill
I can recommend the IOM for a fishing holiday. I am still discovering marks around the Island after 20 years of holidays. Here is one I found this year to try when my kids are a bit older ...
More IOM fishing info here if anyone is interested
