In addition, the pier will be undergoing a period of maintenance during December, so it is likely that some, if not all, of the remaining dates will be cancelled (regardless of weather).

I will hopefully have an answer regarding this Friday(20th Nov) by Thursday evening. i will post an update on here for all concerned.

We've always got North shore, Colwyn Bay, Rhos etc, depending on the tides.

i know its too soon to be sure and i don't want to get peoples hopes up but xcweather is giving rain all week....except friday afternoon into saturday morning...whatever happens though i'm still going fishing

Noted Mike! Not wasting a pass out though, I'll chuck a tripod in the boot just in case the pier is cancelled
North Shore as a stand by?

Should know later this morning as to the status of the Pier tonight.
Lets hope the current forecast is correct

In the event of a cancelleation, North Shore seems the popular choice.

I'm not fussed really, I'll be happy with a decent Codling at either venue

With a favourable forecast, it's game on!

The only proviso is that if the weather kicks up, the security guard would have the authority to clear the pier.

Dogger has kindly picked up the keay and will meet us there.
If you want access before 6, you will need to use the main entrance(the side gate is locked and the locks wont be changed till 6)
If you arrive after 6, give me a bell, although I will be hanging around at 6ish.

Here's an update on tomorrows pier booking. (4th Dec)

Not for the lack of trying, I have been unable to make contact with Sarah from the Pier Tackle Shop.

The last i heard, it was looking quite possible that the pier will be closed due to setting up of the firworks for a display this Saturday night.

I'll try contacting the pier again tomorrow, but it has to be considered as unlikely at the moment.

Ill post an update tomorrow morning.

Like yourself i tried all day myself to get in contact with Sara, but had no luck.

I spoke to Ritchie and mark last night and we have come to the decision that it will be closed, so we are heading to one of a couple of venues.

Communication channels with the pier have been re-established.
Maintainence is not an issue.
The weather looks unlikely to affect proceedings.
The Fireworks are not getting set up tonight.
