| We're back from a truly magical couple of days in a "pod" ( basically a 10x8 shed) at the foot of Snowdon, 7 inches of rain in 24 hours adds up to a lot of water entering the rivers. The dog refused to budge!
We had a pretty exciting drive back today, some spectacular torrents of water, rivers overtopping and we just about managed to cross the fast flooding bridge at Betws y Coed and turned for the coast ( the A5 inland had been closed) and negotiated the flooded road in the middle of Llanrwst but couldn't get much further towards the A55 and turned back to come over the tops only to find the road closed after Llangernyw and had to retrace our steps again to find a route over the back of Trofarth to get to Colwyn Heights and finally back to Rhyl.
Must say there was a great community spirit evident in the centre of Llanrwst with locals " policing" the deepest bits, giving guidance, clearing blocked grates of debris and stuff.
Stay safe folks!

| Just taken the dog for a walk along old colwyn prom and all the man hole covers have been pushed open by the amount of rain water coming down the pipes. Wouldn't think all that fresh water will do much for the fishing around here |

I am in Stafford and we haven't had anywhere near the rain that they have had north of use. On the day I asked about the weather there was reports on the news of wide spread flooding in North Wales and North of Manchester. Let's hope the rain stops of a bit and and things can dry out. |

| God I hope so pal, I'm going to try and get down splash point for a few hours 10-2pm on Tuesday (all welcome) as I haven't been able to get out because of either work/children (when the weather has been ok ironically!) Or its been lashing it down (usually when I plan to get the rods out) still, fishing off the sofa is not so productive! Got the accu-weather app on my phone, its usually pretty spot on and you can add multiple locations. Weather from Sunday night to Tuesday night is rain/showers... Typical!! |
