Venue - Rhyl
Duration - 5 hrs
Bait: Frozen Lug, Fresh Mackerel
Boat - Jensen II
Skipper - Simon Parry
Date - 7th August 2009

Today was all about the kids.
My 2, Erin and Rhys were joined by their cousins Max and Ross, for a day's general fishing onboard Jensen II.

Simon picked up us from the new pontoon. Unfortunately, he picked up more than he bargained for.
A mooring rope snagged around the prop meant that there was only one thing for it.
Strip off and get wet!!!!!!!!

Armed with a pair of Wilko's scissors, he made short work of cutting us free.

Luckily no damage was done to the boat, so it was trip on!

We reached todays chosen mark and dropped anchor.
With feathers on, the Mackerel were soon coming up.

All attention soon switched from the rods to a friendly Seal.
The kids proceeded to feed most of the Mackerel to him!

Simon managed to keep some back and with the help of a top secret marinade, proceeded to cook up the tastiest fish dish myself and the kids have ever tasted.
It was incredible!!!

Back to the fishing and the feathers were now swapped for 3 hook paternosters baited with Lug and Mackerel.
The waiting began........

Not for long!
Grey and Tub Gurnards were showing.

Whiting, Dabs and Weevers were also keeping everyone busy.
Double and Triple headers were coming in all round the boat.

The fishing was non-stop all day.
The Seal was a great sport and the food was to die for!

Thanks to Simon for making it a special day out for all the kids, including this big one!

Happy Days!!!

Fantastic report Mike.

That for me is the best yet.

Looks like the kids had a " Whale " of a time.
