I am still getting adverts running across the top of the page, mostly asking I want a boy friend or trying to sell me fishing tackle.

Yes it happens when I'm logged in I all way look at the forum logged in.

Have a look at your settings I'm sure there's a way to block them

I've had a look Dave but can't find anything. I never use to get ads it only seems to of happened in the last 6 months or so I seem to remember you did some changes to the forum about the same time. I've got one for War Thunder, play it for free at the moment. I haven't done anything different at my end so I can only assume it's changes you have made at yours.

Mine disappear when logged in,

Jack posted something helpful a bit back about blocking adverts, haven't time to look right now but I suspect your operating system settings or an update over writing "block cookies" or something might be the answer rather than forum settings but I will take a look when I can.

I get adverts for "fertility clinics"      


It might be because I use the word "blank" so often in my reports

for me they disappear when I log in. the ads I do get before logging in are quite boring!

When the ads are visible there is a little triangle in the top right of each ad, clicking on it tells you a bit about the process but it wasn't that enlightening.

Putting things like " block ads on forum" brings up various hits including Adblock.    You may find other options that are recommended for different search engines, if you have more than one search engine you might find some already block ads for you ???

I have had a good look around the dark world of the forum controls that sit behind our site and I can't see anything that would help, nor on my individual profile settings, so that takes us back to doing something like Jack suggests.

I think the answer is to pay some money. Click on "free forum support" at the bottom of the page and type adverts into the search box.

Personally I don't object to getting a few adverts in return for getting the forum hosted here. They need to make some money from somewhere.
