A Sunday christening Empty
PostSubject: A Sunday christening   A Sunday christening EmptyMon Aug 31, 2015 1:47 pm

In the week I was going through some of the junk in my shed and came across an old 50lb class rod that was like new but would never get used again as it was like a broomstick also in the broken bits and bobs there was an old tip from one of my multi tip rods so cut the rod down and drilled it out then fitted the tip ,whipped a few eyes on and a new usable rod was born
On Sunday the weather gave me a chance to use it we arrived at Prestatyn early to pump some worm and get some shrimp in the push net we got plenty of worm and in a few pushes of the net webbo had already got a sole, flounder and a plaice as well as a load of shrimp

Sorry didn't get a pic of the plaice,we soon had bass hunter and longranger on the water and we anchored up on the second bar and sent the multi tip broomstick out as well as others but it was a bit slow and the tide was very strong so a change of leads and I sent it uptide ,ten mins later the rod was christened

After the excitement we had a move out to the wind farm where we had lots of species but no Huss as I think Dave was catching them all on Jensen

Didn't weigh it as I forgot the scales but it measured 71cm witch the UK bass records show it as a ten pound fish but it didn't look that big not that I've seen many ten pounders

No, good spot, a little brittle star. We did put a bigger one in the tank but the Shannys ate it.
