Had my first serious crack at the tope mid week on Anglesey,beautiful day
but the fish were scarce,feathered half a dozen mackerel as soon as i got
there for bait but after that it was just a couple of dabs,the odd doggy and whiting
for the next four hours until about sunset i had my only decent bite of the day
which took the ratchet for a couple of yards,felt like a decent fish with a bit of go
in it,shortly after had her landed,and after having umpteen runs and dropped baits
in the past managed to land my first tope,at 11lb-13 not a monster but a tope all
the same,could of made 12lb if it hadn't emptied it's bowels over me.
