Dee Estuary Flint, 28th June

I had an invite to fish Flint with an old friend Howard.

So after blanking at Dock road the day before i decided to take up the offer.

I met up with howard at 2pm as agreed not far from the castle.

Armed with fresh lug, i set up my new Leeda Pirahna 12' Bass/Flattie beachcaster and Penn captiva 8000 series.

We were joined by a couple of other anglers, Daniel and his grandad.

So baits were cast in anticipation of many bites to follow.

First was Daniel with a nice Eel.





Howard was deep in thought hoping he was next, not long to wait..









Not long after i had a Klonker of an eel, but howard has the picture to prove it, so i'll try and get it off him.

To be fair a cracking day weatherwise and good company, two more eels for me, another for Daniel and one for howard.

Yes its a nice spot mate no need for wellies or boots, trainers will do.

If you park up by the recycling tip in Flint, on your right as you look towards the tip is a double gate, don't park your car there, go down the tarmac road after about 70yds, you will then see a factory unit, keep to the right and go through a second gate and follow the path down to the end.
