Sunny dee! Light! 22/4/15

Had a day of work ,so with a lovely day it would have been rude not go fishing . Decided to fish the dee with just one rod ,fishing light with braid and size 4 hooks .had two nice size peeler with me and no other bait , my plan was to have a scrape for som crab and plan b if no crab then go dig some maddies ..had a look for crab ,only a softie ,so plan b it was , hard work in the very sticky mud put soon got plenty nice size maddies..so had a few brews and chilled on my own then of to my high water mark ..very nice day and what a day to have of work ..


First cast had a rattle on crab, that I missed ,then before I knew it I had used both my crabs up ,so time for my back up bait ..

Leaving my box at home and only taking a bucket of bits an bobs and a flask of coffee made a nice change from lugging loads of tackle like I normally do ..had to cast every 10 mins as the crabs whet stripping my bait faster than some people I know stripping copper wire lol.. Now and again I was gettin little rattles that weren't hooking up .then the culprit showed up only six inch long lol ...

Only one tiny little flounder to show for a about three hours fishing doesn't sound much , but chilling in the sun with a flask of coffee and a roll up our two ,I was in heaven ..much better than laying bricks ..
