| I was up and out of bed early this morning.....on the way home I thought I'd take a look at Greenfield The water was too far off to be waiting for it and with a big tide I thought the pull might be too strong anyway A big tide and the equinox, what would the fish make of it? With the eclipse this morning the Sun Centre seemed the poetic place to start fishing and I tried the innermost gullies for a bit. To my East I could see the silhouette of a couple of rods at Splashpoint and decided to go and see who was out, Eddie and David were there and two others came along later, Fresh worm on a 1/0 pulley on the distance rod and frozen lug on a size 2 one up one down closer in. As the eclipse approached the light had a different quality about it, cloud threatened to spoil it but enough of a gap remained. I'd expected it to get darker to be honest! The bite out of the Sun was the only one to report. Not so much as a knock between us but when the fishing opportunity knocks you gotta take it!

| Hard luck Paul, some good photos of the eclipse though With the lack of fish at the moment the gaps between them must be huge, if David Bowie was fishing yesterday he would have called it a Space Oddity |

| Fished Greenfield off the rocks on Thursday with Fred (brissy ) managed 3 hrs before the tide too fast but had a few nice fish between us, Fred had the smallest and I had the biggest 39 cm flounder, now in freezer, a great venue and sunny weather. |
