Joined Mehmet on his second shift of the day at Splash along with assorted shady characters
2 hours to go to a big High and the sea was building and intermittent hail was stinging our faces
Still an hour before High it was getting a bit dodgy!
Overtopping waves were hitting the wall behind us and washing back with some force - safety. first -Time to move!
Round the corner the sea wall was getting tested again
I asked this guy if he'd caught anything, "Not yet" he said,
and then he did!
Well done Dave, hope you've found the forum!
Still half an hour to High and we debated hanging on to see if it calmed on the ebb,
It wasn't a black and white decision but enough was enough

I know exactly how it feels, where I fish waves can spill out of a gut, across the rock and hit a rock face then this water rushes back out again. this is our access to the rock, and we lost a regular fisho here a year or so back.

I must have come along just after you left Paul, some still hadn`t given up though,
squeaky bum time for the locals after last year`s floods, ,
we might need some new litter bins again.
