talacre a walk on the sand

met up with bryn dg at the beach car park talacre at 11-00 am to start the walk over to the green buoy.

the weather forecast was for a lt east wind and no rain so it turned out to be a nice warmish day. on the way to the water there were 2 rods out on the left hand side of the buoy and we set up to the right hand side and it wasn't long before the first dabs were on the beach.

and a few whiting


it was a bit slower than the norm for talacre but we still managed 19 fish between us 6 of them whiting all fish went back as a lot of the dabs were a bit on the small size. we fished 2 down 2 up weather was great as was the company. bryn did look like he had a nice fish on around low tide he said it was a big codling but I think he was pulling the plug out of the bath.

There's not many places you can say that the fishing was slow when you had 19 fish which says it all about Talacre
Sorry I couldn't join you especially when you had a weekend pass from the fishing permission officer but hopefully I will be able too next time

you will have to put you hiking boots on and come to Talacre tatch its a great place to boost you confidence when you have had a blank
