Whitby Sandsend cliffs Sunday 4th january

Off bright & early for the east coast Sunday morning first stop Scarborough for bait & breakfast  we knew it was going to be pretty busy as there was a big match on with boundaries stretching from south Gare redcar right down to south landing flamborough it wasn't even low & marine drive was already a row of ladders down to the Acropods & rod tips poking over the wall everywhere.We ummed & arred a bit & decided head towards Whitby.So it was up the coast road every set of marks was rammed with people as we passed so we decided on sandsend car park or cliffs after going up on the cliffs for a recce we decided to fish up there at rabbit holes but changed the plan  & tried a hole nearer the car park we had to wait a good while for it to fill then for surfers to shift  we fished till it turned & there was not enough left to fish plenty finicky little bites but put that down to pesky little billet first have a go of 2015 blankety blank for us three  although some good cod had come out round & about from 3lb to 15lb 3oz I think the winner was beats being stuck home though a few pics I took

you might have had a blank tatch but you take  great photo's and it looks a nice place to fish well done for giving it a go lads
