I have had my penn powerstix pro of
12 month's now and I've been very
happy with it.For a 13ft 9" rod it's
quite light and casting weight of 4 - 6oz
seems about right for what I need. Bite
detection (when I get one Very Happy ) is good
and this rod also as a high visibility tip
which does help at times.

3 Piece High Resistance 24T carbon blank
Fuji O Ring guides
Fixed reel seat suitable for multiplier and fixed spool use
Supplied in a cordura hard rod tube
Penn performance at a modest price!
around £60 - £80 which isn't bad for
a rod this well built.

Penn Powerstix Pro Surf rods are
available in two sizes (13ft and a massive 15.9ft) these beachcasters are capable of sending a baited rig a very long way

All in all a very good rod for this price bracket
stevo give's it 9/10 Very Happy Very Happy

Great report Stevo!

I've got the Powerstix Pro Bass rod, don't use it much but it does the job well enough, not the classic Bass rod configuration being 3 piece but it fits nicely across the back of the car boot. What I don't like is the cherry colour, the colour of a rod should make no difference really but somehow it does.

I don't mind the colour when the sun is on it
add's something else rather than all black.
