Holderness Diawa Open 2014

Well no sleep at all Saturday night Andrew & myself were off at 4.30am to Bradford to pick up Dave then onwards to withernsea first stop the amusements as its a café too & if you're a fisherman 50p cheaper :dance: so after breakfast off to register at waxholme road.Then the fun began we had decided to try fish Easington beach so that's where we headed the first mark you can see on the road out of withersea is sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet pipe No one there very strange we thought :think: next up runnels half a dozen motors there holmpton seaside road & school lane absolutely rammed as was old hives outnewton dimmo Easington kilnsea & spurn . So as we didn't want to be in amongst the hoardes it was back to the sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet pipe one motor threre now so across the field & hop down to the beach its an easy get down there. Just the one chap besides us an hour later there were folk as far as you could see down towards outnewton E.C.L. one of the Holderness locals joined us & half a dozen more walked up towards withernsea so we had a quiet place really I couldn't believe how much more coast has disappeared in just twelve days since we fished here last unbelievable.The sea wasn't bad when we arrived but it got a little lively as the day went on E.C.L.had for whitings a flounder & a codling the only other thing to come out was my small flounder I had been texting big Kev & one or two others up & down when there was a signal & it didn't sound good at all up coast or down i was glad when it was time to go.To be honest it would have been better fished on a bigger tide so the fish have more & calmer water to come over the banks still we enjoyed the day out ready for the next now :badgrin: A few pics sadly only one of a fish

If the erosion carrys on at that pace you'll soon be able to fish Withernsea and splash point back to back

you may not be far out there mate its scary

Great pics of the rugged shore, I was looking at the rod cases, Im looking for one that will fit my 2200cm rod and rest, you guys seem to have the type i need...from where.

Something fishy I think it was put back with instructions to send its great uncle Mr Hal.I.But that didn't work either he never showed miserable sod
