The Scottish langoustines were raw and frozen, I de-clawed them and tried tail only and whole. I had equal numbers of live crab and langoustine and fished them alternately on one rod throughout, the only bite I had on the langoustine was late on when bait supplies were getting low and I had a bit of the flesh on with a crab leg or two, so I can't say they were any kind of success. On the other rod I fished lug throughout and this caught most of the flatties. No idea whether it's a recognised bait to be honest but as the smoothies like crustaceans I thought there was a chance, nothing ventured, nothing gained! |
