The horrendous weather on Saturday didn`t put too many off from fishing our club match on the prom over high water on Saturday night. 14 members turned up, including 2 juniors, and by the time we got started the rain had stopped and the wind was easing a bit, although some areas towards the arches were unfishable owing to breaking waves.
The fishing was as usual here, with loads of undersize whiting and codling coming in 2 or 3 at a time, but 13 managed to weigh in in-size fish by the end. ( don`t ask who the only blanker was
) I was obviously fishing for the big stuff that wasn`t there
the winning bag was 2 whiting, 2 rockling and a dab for 0.71 kgs. with various combinations of these 3 species being weighed in, down to a single rockling for 13th.
