Five of us ventured onto Bangor pier on 4th August at 7pm, low being at 8pm. Everyone set up ready for the flood and settled down for the night ahead. I was set up and willing but i never wet a line. Spent all night wrapped up in my clobber in the shelter freezing cold while the lads had got a sweat on.
Anyway they didn't have a bad night between them with a mixture of doggies, whiting, codling and schoolies.
A very comfy venue for the idle anglers among us, toilets, lights and a trolly for your tackle. Came off the pier at about 2am and was promptly sick twice before heading home. Because i had given up smoking a couple of weeks before the lads put it down to side effects, what a load of s##te.
Two days later it was off to the docs with a painfull side and an ever swelling gonad. Result, water , kidney and gonad infection. After nearly four weeks i've just about recovered hence the report. Sorry it's late. Hope to get out mid week.
Oh, by the way, after 48 years of smoking i'm still off the cigs
Regards Steve.
