Left the house at three am to fish ffrith beach ,never been before parked up at earls wood ave then walked over the sand dunes to the beach walked to low water it was a big tide ,so it was a long walk out to the water I past plenty of good gullys on the way to the water edge . Started pumping wasn't long before I had a bucket full of big blacks ,easy pumping . Soon as the flood started cast out two hook flapper with size 3 o s loaded with fresh worm . The sea looked real bassey plenty of movement . First chuck bang cracking bite didn't connect ,then didn't get another bite till one hr before high with also didn't connect , local comes down with is mate chucks in first Cast about half an hour before high and he had a scoolie straight away that's fishing . Cut a long story short fished solid seven hours and just two bites . Cracking venue though and will defo have another crack at it in the near future . Session two I had my mind mate up to go pensarn ,but Changed my mind to fish penmaenmawr instead as my mate logger and joker and a few other lads and lases where all fishing together so I opted for a social one . Strong south Westlies made it very uncomfortable to fish cut a long story short I dropped a bass of about two pound just as it came in to vue and had one good size doggie , every body had the odd doggie but. That all what was caught but it was a good laugh and good company . Thanks for the cups of coffee logger .

Unlucky tim. ive tried prestatyn way over the years but find its a lot shallower than the likes of pensarn and llandulas and tends to be more weedy. if i were you id start trying the likes of pensarn/llandulas over low. in the next few weeks the crab'll start peeling again and we should get a run of codling.
another place id try when they do start to show is llandudno north shore.

Try the wall next to Llandudno Pier, between the tackle shop and the steps fishing over high over the next couple of months for Bass, Codling and big dogs.

A short cast towards the first shelter on the pier puts you on cleaner ground than fishing straight out onto the mussel beds, but you might still lose the odd rig.

Another place that fishes well around October and November is Conwy near the floating pontoon but you need crab. There has been a good run of Codling here over the last few years with some better fish to 6 or 7 lb mixed in. Its best here on the flood.
